Kids Acting Class in Baton Rouge

About ten years ago, I started a film acting school in Baton Rouge for teens and adults called Love Acting. Then three years ago, we decided to add a class for kids! We are passionate about offering children who are interested in acting the wonderful opportunity to learn and grow in their film acting craft. Not only do kids learn here, but they also have the opportunity to have an outlet for their creativity— and have fun! We like to focus on laying down the foundation for film acting by first helping children use their imaginations and foster their creativity. I find that, in general, lot of kids have access to theater classes but a film acting class where children are taught the specific art of acting on camera is harder come by.

One of my goals when starting Love Acting was to give kids an opportunity to study acting for film, in front of a camera. Kids also respond really well to the improv exercises, allowing them to use their creativity and build their confidence. They also get to see the results of watching their scene acted out on camera. Our class here is for 9-12 year olds and is taught by Alyson Coyle. Through this class, we witness our kids end up becoming very confident, fearless, and empowered. And they become fully prepared for when the time for auditioning for movies.
