Love Acting's Actor's Showcase 2025
My dream in creating my acting school, Love Acting in Baton Rouge, is that we would build up our film acting talent pool for the films being made here in Louisiana. Many times when films are being made, they cast the smaller parts locally, and it provides great opportunities for actors that live in Louisiana. I myself have had a great experience working on numerous tv shows and films throughout my career in Louisiana. I’ve loved being able to stay close to my family and being able to pursue acting simultaneously. What a dream. Actors always ask me if they need to move to LA, and I encourage them to kick off their career here in Baton Rouge, and if they find great passion & success within the Louisiana film industry they can transfer at any point to Los Angeles when they feel ready.
During my time studying in Los Angeles, I did numerous showcases for casting directors and agents at different schools, and it was a huge growth experience building my confidence and helping me learn the technique I needed to grow as an actor. As a 20 year old who had just gotten a degree in theater and was looking for any chance to go on stage, this was a great blend of learning film acting technique and getting to still explore the pressures of being on stage.
Our Showcase here at Love Acting was birthed out of my desire to introduce the talent of love acting to the producers and casting directors who may not know them yet and give them an opportunity to kick off their careers. If you are an actor who is thinking about joining class or someone who loves the theater, the Showcase will be entertaining and fun to watch.
